• Human Trafficking is the world’s fastest growing crime and the second largest illegal trade. Human Trafficking is the trade of Human, most commonly for the purpose of sexual slavery, forced labour, or commercial sexual exploitation for the trafficker or others.
• Sex trafficking is part of human trafficking, is a ‘rape for profit’ trade, in which victims are kidnapped, coerced, deceived, transported or detained for the purpose of being sexually exploited for commercial gains.
• Once trafficked, the victims face unimaginable violence. In addition to being raped multiple times a day, both children and adult are particularly vulnerable to violent physical abuse from owners, pimps and customers.
• Sex trafficking not only results in severe violation of human rights but also causes adverse physical, psychological and moral consequences for the victims.
• We, SHALOM MUMBAI MISSION is working in Mumbai with a vision to eradicate human trafficking in this generation, through social action by rescuer, rehabilitation, rejuvenation, & reintegration of trafficked victims.
